Analyst – Regulatory Affairs, Power Supply, and Engineering

Alpena Power Company, an investor-owned electric utility serving 17,000 customers in N.E. Michigan, is looking for a capable, experienced Analyst in Regulatory Affairs, Power Supply, and Engineering.

Position Summary:

This position will provide coordination of activities across multiple operational and strategic areas, including regulatory compliance, and power supply procurement and planning. The engineering department tasks include reliability reporting, dispatching, outage management and mapping. This position works closely with executive leadership, operations staff, engineering staff, and external partners to ensure the utility meets its regulatory obligations, maintains reliable and cost-effective power supply arrangements, and supports engineering initiatives for system reliability, resiliency, and reporting. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week and will report to the Vice President.

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred in one of the following: Electrical Systems Technology, Engineering or Business, Economics or Related Fields.

Candidates must have a valid Driver License and favorable driving record upon hiring and the ability to maintain throughout duration of employment. You will also be required to pass a background check and drug screening.
