APC installs and maintains protective lighting with no installation charge. Installation can be on an existing APC pole, or a pole can be installed to meet your lighting needs. A protective light may cost as little as $17.76 a month! Outdoor lighting helps boost the security and safety of the area around your home or business.  From hidden patches of ice to prowlers, you never know what’s around the corner of an unlit house. The cost for outdoor protective lighting is less than almost any other effective security measure you can take.

Availability:

Customers desiring controlled service for outdoor protective lighting on premises where the customer is presently taking service under a standard rate schedule.

Hour of Service:

Dusk to dawn service controlled by photo-sensitive devices, which provide service all night, every night for approximately 4,200 hours per year.

Nature of Services

Customers that have existing high-pressure sodium (HPS) lights in place can continue to use these lights until such time as the fixture is damaged or the Company decides it needs to be replaced. At that time, it will be replaced with an LED fixture. Service will consist of an LED fixture appropriately mounted. The Company shall own, operate and maintain the light. Non-functioning lights must be reported by the customer and the Company shall repair the lights as soon as reasonably possible during regular working hours.

Bills shall be rendered in equal monthly installments without provision for partial or seasonal service.

Energy Waste Reduction Surcharge

This rate is subject to the Energy Waste Reduction Surcharge shown on Sheet No. D-4.91.

Power Supply Cost Recovery Factor

This rate is subject to the Company’s Power Supply Cost Recovery Factors as indicated below. The monthly kilowatt-hours for application of the Power Supply Cost Recovery Factor shall be 41 kWh for 100 watt lights and 111 kWh for 250 watt lights, 21 kWh for 100 watt equivalent LED, and 62 kWh for 250 watt equivalent LED.

Renewable Energy Surcharge

This rate is subject to the Renewable Energy Surcharge shown on Sheet No. D-4.90. State sales tax will be added where applicable, at 6%.
